Based on guidance from the CDC and the World Organisation for Animal Health, OC Pet Nurse has adopted the following common-sense COVID-19 safety protocols for our visits to your home.
One-time-use gloves will be worn while inside your home, from entry to exit. (If we bring packages in from your front porch, we will disinfect the packages with the wipes or spray you provide in your home, before bringing it inside.)
A mask will be worn while inside your home; however, if the mask causes undue stress for your pet, we will remove it if there are no other persons present.
We will endeavor to touch only what is necessary while in your home. Any hard surfaces that are touched (doorknobs, faucets, light switches, crate handles, bowls, treat bags, etc) will be wiped down with a disinfectant wipe (Clorox or equivalant) prior to departure.
Upon exiting your home, after re-locking the door, gloves will be properly removed and placed inside a plastic bag for disposal.
Before entering their vehicle, your caregiver will remove their mask, wipe down personal belongings (or spray with Lysol), and use hand sanitizer.
If you or anyone in your family has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, or has come into contact with anyone else who has tested positive, please contact us immediately.
